BE PRAY! The official first day of spring is Sunday, so I was inspired to add a few new things to my house from Target (it’s not sponsored, by the way, I just needed a moment of shopping therapy online affordable ha!). I thought I’d share what I found with you in case you’re inspired to do the same.
At the start of every season, I always recommend that you take a few moments to freshen up your home. Even if you’re not in the mood for change when you start, a few simple upgrades and swaps will start to lift your spirits! As you begin to see spring reflected in your surroundings, you will feel more connected to your home and more present in the season.
You don’t have to do much and you don’t have to buy anything! Use what you have. Clean up spaces that have gotten out of control. Put away the winter things you no longer need. Make it a restorative ritual every month.
By the way, if you like the idea of seasonal rhythms or want to create a nurturing home that becomes your year-round sanctuary, I’ve created a brand new book just for you! A Lovely Life is filled with simple ideas that will inspire you in every season.
A Lovely Life is a hardcover book with lots of photos and encouragement for embracing simple beauty, rituals and rhythms in every season. So if you ever feel overwhelmed by the pace of life and want to enjoy a simpler pace at home and throughout the year, I think you’ll enjoy this new book!
It’s coming out in May, but you can order it now through Amazon (they won’t charge you until it ships!) so you’ll be the first to get it, or wherever books are sold.
With the arrival of spring, I felt inspired by a fresh, organic and soft look. Greenery, textured baskets and pretty pillowcases!
When it comes to greenery, I definitely prefer real plants, but since we moved into our new house, fake plants have helped me until I really figure out what space I want to use for plants and what type of plants will best suit this house. I also had to focus on my setup and really didn’t want to deal with keeping the plants alive just yet hahahah. (I also received these fake tulips that I shared on the blog a few days ago!).
I always swap the pillowcases every season. It’s a simple way to have a new look! Although Target doesn’t sell covers separately, unfortunately the pillows I bought this time around all have zippers, so the covers and inserts are easy to change.
The scalloped basket seemed like a great all-around buy for spring! I’ve hung it on the wall right now but my intention is to use it on a doorway or around my house (or even on the covered porch!) for seasonal branches. It is really adorable and I love its shape.
Happy almost spring!
PS. If you missed it, last week I shared a bit more from our living room and discussed Spring Puttering HERE.
