At the end of 2020, we revealed a new trend showing that more people had chosen to live with their other half in 2020 than in 2019, with almost 80% telling us that midlife played a role in the decision to move in together. We wanted to know more….
- 43% of couples moved in together after dating for 6 months or less
- 82% said the pandemic affected their decision to move in with their significant other
- 66% said living in quarantine improved their relationship
- 90% still live with their other half
We couldn’t be happier knowing that things are going great for these couples in quarantine!
Methodology: A total of 750 responses were collected from people aged 18 and over across the United States on January 25, 2021, using the Pollfish survey tool. Respondents were only qualified to complete the survey if they confirmed that they had moved in with their significant other in 2020. Responses from people who did not claim to have moved in with a significant other in 2020 were not counted. See the full Pollfish methodology here.
