How to DIY a Spring Wreath Using PEEPS®
With all of us stuck at home, it’s easy to forget the seasonal decorations that put a smile on the faces of our family (and our neighbors). If you haven’t already done so, it’s time to brighten up your home and move on to spring. When you run out of activities with your kids, this DIY decoration featuring the favorite treat of the season does the trick. We have teamed up with PEEPS® to create this decorative crown that is easy to make with the family. (I know what you’re thinking, but no, the crowns aren’t only for the winter holidays.)
If you have more cupcake liners than you know what to make of them, you will only need a few extra supplies to get started. Here is everything you will need for the trade:
Start by choosing a spot on the foam crown shape to place an open tulip cupcake liner or a full-size cupcake liner (these will later contain a PEEPS® marshmallow chick) and glue it hot.
Hold a regular or mini cupcake liner in a contrasting color at the bottom center and rub it up to create a flower shape.
Hot glue the bottom of the crumpled lining to the crown shape near the open lining, but not so close that it crushes the open one. Repeat until you have surrounded the open cupcake lining with crumpled linings.
Repeat steps 1 to 3 until you have covered the entire crown shape with liners. Make sure you have at least 4 to 5 open liners of regular size.
Finish off the crown by hot gluing the colored PEEPS® Marshmallow chicks inside the regular size open linings.
Hang your colorful wreath anywhere in the house to instantly bring a touch of spring inside!
