Kohler, the world’s leading manufacturer of kitchen and bathroom products, unveils its new bathroom innovations at CES 2021. The company presents four new smart home products: Stillness Bath, Innate Intelligent Toilet, Touchless Bathroom Faucet, and two new products developed in collaboration with Phyn – KOHLER Whole Home Water Monitor powered by Phyn, a do-it-yourself unit and a Pro version with automatic shutdown.
Kohler wants to use the latest smart home technologies for personal well-being, and these products are leading the way in the same direction. The company focuses more on relaxation, health and maintaining germ-free surfaces at home. Check out the products below:
It is a square-shaped experimental bathtub inspired by shinrin-yoku, the Japanese practice of bathing in the forest. The tub uses water, light, mist and aromas to deliver an immersive experience similar to a home spa. The water starts filling from the bottom of the tub and overflows into the Hinoki wood grain which creates a soothing sound. There is full spectrum lighting all around the tub for mood setting and thus the mist enhances the bathing experience. In addition, the essential oils added to the bath stimulate the senses with invigorating aromas.
Innate smart toilet
This smart toilet is the latest addition to Kohler’s smart bathroom product portfolio. It offers nearly the same features as the company’s previous smart toilets at a competitive price. This toilet, which Kohler says can be installed by owners themselves thanks to its do-it-yourself design, comes with a heated seat and an option to automatically open and close after use. The new Kohler toilet is paired with a personal bidet for convenience and an intuitive remote control for touchless interaction – a need of the moment!

Touchless bathroom faucet
Kohler is launching a faucet with built-in sensors and a remote disc that allows you to add a retrofit solution to any Kohler single handle bathroom faucet. This bathroom appliance can be activated hands-free for washing hands, brushing teeth and other activities in the bathroom. Touchless technology in a faucet was first introduced by Kohler in a kitchen faucet at CES 2019, but this approach is overly important in the current COVID-19 situation where less contact with surfaces ensures safety.
Kohler and Phyn Partnership
Kohler will also be launching two products co-branded with Phyn in 2021 – the Kohler Whole Home Water Monitor Powered by Phyn – a DIY unit and a Pro version with automatic shutdown. Both use Phyn’s pressure wave analysis to monitor water flow and immediately alert the homeowner if a leak is detected. They also provide detailed information on water use at home. The DIY version mounts under a single sink and can be easily installed, while the Pro version fits into the main water supply, both inside and outside the house.
