Protect Your Hands From Chisel Lands

Many new chisels, especially most high-quality chisels, have sharpened lands (the beveled side edges). Some people wear cotton gloves to protect their hands when using them, but I don’t like the loss of sensitivity and sensitivity with the gloves. So I found a simple solution to avoid getting cut off these edges.
I cut the tip of a rubber mat (sold in office supply stores to protect myself from paper cuts) and slid it over my index finger to use it as protection against the edges of the chisel. It doesn’t interfere with feedback and control and I no longer suffer from cuts, even if I keep the chisel tight. –Charles Mak, Calgary, Alberta
