Wtake a tour of the Seabrook Dream house with me? My family and I feel so lucky to have been able to spend a few days in a literal dream home in Seabrook on the Washington coast. It belongs to my friend Susan (confident mom). She’s been a blog reader for years, so she knows my heart and my love for boutique houses!
Susan and her husband had their beautiful house custom built. You might remember seeing it in an article I wrote about it last fall (here), just before they moved in. Susan had been inspired by items from our kitchen and other homes that I shared on the blog, so it was a real treat to be able to see everything come to life through her photos!
I never imagined being able to visit her in person, let alone have the opportunity to stay at her home! And not only were we able to stay at her house, but Susan and her husband actually left our family behind. have their house to ourselves to relax and enjoy for several days.
It’s hard to find words to express what a gift her generosity and hospitality have been to our family! This is their home, not a rental, so it was extremely special to be able to stay here!
In a surprising turn of life, they just decided to put their house up for sale. I know! My heart can barely take it, but their family decided to take a once in a lifetime opportunity to tour the country in RVs. If there’s one thing 2020 has taught many of us, it’s that LIFE IS FOR LIVING! While I am sad that they are selling their house, I am inspired by their spirit of adventure.
Of course, I am so grateful to have had the chance to experience this house while they still own it! And yes …. you know I would buy their house in the blink of an eye if it was meant to be. Not only do I love this house, but the community of Seabrook feels as charming as I imagine Nantucket would be.
I must say that I felt completely at home this weekend!
The view, the setting, the charm, the neighborhood, the comfort, this is definitely the house of my dreams from all points of view!
I have taken so many photos of this special place and the surrounding Seabrook neighborhood. So many thoughtful details, charming architecture, renovation ideas, lots of design to take away and pretty homes to inspire… I’ll share them all here on the blog!
But in the meantime, would you like to take a live tour of this house and the neighborhood with me? Follow me on Instagram and you can see the tour in my Insta stories (you’ll find it in the highlight of Seabrook, which is in the little circles under my bio / profile photo).
There is MUCH MORE to come, both on Instagram and here on the blog!
Have a good day my friend!
