Steal This Look: A Summery Bellport, NY, Porch, by Elizabeth Roberts

Not so long ago, we presented the cedar shingle chalet by architect Elizabeth Roberts based in Brooklyn in the 1850s in Bellport, Long Island (the discreet alternative of the Hamptons where and Isabella Rossellini spend their week -ends). Our favorite feature? The armored windy porch, overlooking the pool and equipped with elements that are easy to reproduce.

Here is a guide (and see the full room here):

At one end of the porch, Elizabeth has created an outdoor dining room. For a similar shade of gray for the flooring, consider Benjamin Moore's Stormy Monday. The Knotty Bubble chandelier by Lindsey Adelman was inspired by packaging, buoys and Japanese shibari.
