Sumptuously Soft French Dish Towels that Double as Aprons

Holidays are for taking a break from work, but when our copywriters travel on vacation, work (discovering new creative talent, spotting new merchandise, finding inspiration for design) tends to follow them. Case in point: Margot’s grand tour of Europe last year saw an avalanche of story ideas recently (see her articles on beautifully wrapped fabric hangers and hand-woven, plant-dyed rugs).

And here’s another: while visiting a store in Madrid, Do Design, she spotted irresistibly soft kitchen linens from French brand Linge Particulier. On closer inspection, she realized that they all came with ties attached to turn them into aprons if needed. She quickly bought two – one for her sister and one for her sister’s future daughter-in-law.

“As often happens, once I got back from my travels, I would have liked to buy more!” said Margot. “It’s such a simple and brilliant idea.” Our favorite genre.
