The Artful Duvet: Block Shop’s bedding collection

Last week we visited the Mod Shop headquarters of Block Shop. Today we’re looking at the bedding designs the company has just launched. The sisters Lily and Hopie Stockman, founders and internal designers of the company, spent two years working with master printers and dyers in Jaipur, India, to get all the details, right down to the quilt ties, exactly as they had imagined.

The Sunwave quilt was inspired by a target painting by Kenneth Noland and features classic stripes on the reverse.

Block Shop creations are in one piece: they started by applying bold and oversized patterns to scarves, then moved on to pillows, table linen, rugs and art: their Sultan Woodblock print is illustrated here.

“Our linen has exceptional breathability and durability,” says Hopie. “It will keep you cool in summer and warm in winter.”
